Mark Nuell | Goldsmith and lapidary artist

Mark Nuell is a goldsmith and lapidary artist. He cuts rough gemstones into unique faceted designs, reflecting the natural beauty of each stone. With 30 years of goldsmithing experience, Mark integrates the gems into exquisite jewellery pieces.

Nuell is at the forefront of unique gemstone cutting and jewellery design. Mark not only hand cuts the gems himself, he also sources raw gemstones directly from the mines and integrates them into beautiful jewellery pieces afterwards. The rough precious stones are skilfully cut and polished into one-of-a-kind designs, using his extensive experience and knowledge to accentuate the stones’ natural beauty.

Mark has a close and long-standing relationship with sapphire mines in Australia. He inherited his fascination for sapphires from his father, who owned a mine in Rubyvale for nearly 30 years. This inspired Mark to pursue goldsmithing and lapidary. Mark regularly goes back to Queensland to source and hand pick rough sapphires. After which they are hand cut and polished in his London and Devon studio.
